Through the writing of original articles, this fully refereed A to Z Encyclopedia of Political Economy seeks to document the current state of knowledge in political economy in a succinct and eloquent manner. Special emphasis is placed on work undertaken during the 1960s–90s. The 1960s and 1970s saw a renaissance of interest in political economy and further developments have occurred into the 1980s and 1990s. There are now dozens of journals, and hundreds of books being published every year in political economy.
